Troubleshooting
Disney+ will not load on a TV
If Disney+ will not open or keeps loading on your TV, compare another app, then close Disney+, restart the device and check for updates. Retry after each change. Confirm your MyDisney login before clearing app data or reinstalling.

Separate sign-in, loading and playback problems
First note whether Disney+ fails before sign-in, freezes on a loading screen, shows a connection message, or starts a video and then stops. Check another Disney+ title and another app on the TV. A sign-in error calls for account checks; a blank screen across titles is a different branch from a single playback issue.
Confirm you can sign in to your Disney account on another supported device or through Disney’s account help.
This separates an account credential problem from a TV app problem.
If that does not help: If you change your MyDisney password, Disney says the updated credentials also apply across its linked services; make sure other household users know the new password.
Open a second app on the same TV and test another Disney+ title.
If other apps work and Disney+ fails, focus on Disney+; if several apps fail, investigate the TV or network.
If that does not help: For broad app crashes, use the general TV app guide and the TV maker’s support.
Check Disney+ service notices or contact Disney if the issue appears across devices.
A service-side problem can affect more than one TV.
If that does not help: If Disney+ works elsewhere, continue with device-specific checks rather than repeatedly changing account credentials.
Follow Disney’s app checks in order
Disney’s current app-loading guidance recommends fully closing the app, checking internet, power-cycling, comparing other apps, updating the app and device, then clearing cache/data, deactivating/reactivating devices, or reinstalling. It recommends reopening Disney+ between steps. Avoid jumping straight to app data or a factory reset.
Fully close Disney+ if the TV provides an app-close option, then reopen it.
A transient app state may clear.
If that does not help: If it remains frozen, check whether other apps load.
Test another app and the TV’s network status; restart the TV or streaming device using its own documented procedure.
This checks whether the issue follows Disney+ or the whole device/network.
If that does not help: If other apps also fail, work through the TV or network maker’s guide.
Check for an app update and device software update in the official app store/settings for your platform.
An available update can correct a known app or platform issue.
If that does not help: Do not unplug during an update. If the device has no app update control, check Disney’s support page for that model.
If still failing, use Disney’s device-specific instructions for clearing cache/data, device activation or reinstalling.
These steps refresh local app data or account activation.
If that does not help: Read warnings first: clearing data or reinstalling may require signing in again. If you cannot access the account, recover it before removing the app.
Use the instructions for your platform
On Fire TV, Disney lists Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > Disney+ for cache/data controls. Try Clear Cache first; Clear Data can require signing in again. Samsung, LG webOS, Roku and VIDAA use different app-management controls. Do not clear a TV browser’s data as a substitute for resetting the Disney+ app.
When to contact support
Contact Disney when the same Disney+ failure follows your account or title across supported devices. Contact the TV maker if the device cannot update, several apps fail, or the TV itself freezes. Share the exact error, model, operating system/software version, app version if shown, and which checks changed the symptom.
What to do next
If Disney+ alone fails, use its current app-specific recovery steps and preserve the exact error for Disney support.

Frequently asked questions
- Why does Disney+ keep spinning on my TV?
- It may be an app loading, account, network or device issue. Compare another title and app, then follow Disney’s steps in order, reopening the app after each check.
- Can I clear Disney+ cache the same way on every TV?
- No. Disney publishes separate instructions by device, and the available settings differ. Use the current page for your exact platform and model.
- Will reinstalling Disney+ delete my account?
- It does not delete the Disney account, but may remove local app data and require signing in again. Confirm your credentials first.
