TV Remotly is a local app: it talks to televisions on your own network and has no server of its own. The app collects nothing about you. The support board on this website is the one place where anything is stored, and this policy says exactly what.

What the app collects

Nothing about you. There is no account, no sign-in and no profile. The app does not record which TVs you own, what you watch, which apps you launch or what you cast. This is about the Android app itself; the support board on this website is covered separately below.

Why the app asks for local network access

Android requires this permission to send a discovery broadcast on your Wi-Fi and listen for televisions that answer. It is used for that and nothing else. Denying it means TVs have to be added by IP address by hand.

What stays on your phone

Your paired TVs, their addresses, their names and any custom button layouts are stored on the device. Uninstalling the app removes them. They are never uploaded.

Casting and mirroring

Video, photos, audio and screen mirroring are streamed directly from your phone to the television over your local network. That content does not pass through us.

The support board on this website

Anything you post on the board — a ticket, a reply, a vote — is public the moment you send it. Your title, platform and description are visible to anyone; your email address never is, and it is stored separately from the public ticket. To count a vote once per person we keep a random identifier in a cookie in your browser and store a one-way hash of it against that ticket; the hash is different for every ticket, so it cannot be linked back to you or followed across the board. To stop spam we store a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser's user-agent string alongside submissions. We never store your IP address itself, and there is no fingerprinting, advertising or analytics anywhere on this site. Ask and we will delete anything you posted.

Third parties

The app contains no advertising SDKs and no analytics on your viewing. Google Play collects its own installation and crash statistics under its own terms; that is outside this app. This website is hosted on Vercel and the support board is stored in a Supabase database, both acting only as processors for the data described above.
