Can Claude Code customize a Xiaomi or Mi TV?

Xiaomi and Mi TVs with Android TV can expose ADB, but Xiaomi’s own firmware changes the package and launcher choices. Clean Your TV reports several MiTV-MSSP models with different Android versions and a separate HyperOS case; a list for one is not a list for all.

What a model-specific report shows

The project reports Mi TV 4A 32 (MiTV-MSSP0) on Android TV 9 and MiTV-MSSP3 on both Android 9 and Android 11 firmware. It also describes a Redmi A Pro on China-market HyperOS 3 whose ADB closes at reboot. Those examples show why full model and firmware matter more than “Xiaomi TV.”

What to check on your own device

Preserve the TV input panel, phone remote, casting and updater if you use them. A newer HyperOS build can use different home and screensaver components from older Android TV builds. Ask an assistant to inspect your actual device and show a model-specific restore plan before approving any change.

A safe next step

Record the full model, firmware, original Home behavior and the functions you want to preserve. Compare only with a source report for the same hardware and software. Ask your coding assistant for an inspection-only plan, exact effects and a verified undo route. If the source does not match, keep the TV unchanged and use its built-in settings.
