Claude Code on Hisense Google TV: do not confuse VIDAA
A Hisense badge does not identify its software. Google TV and Android TV models may support ADB inspection; VIDAA and Roku models need their own settings and remote methods. Begin with the operating system shown in About.
Published by TV Remotely · Source checked 2026-10-26. Model and firmware behavior can differ; device tests are named only where performed.
What a model-specific report shows
The Clean Your TV catalog includes a Hisense SmartTV 4K FFM on Android TV 10 and notes a model-specific smartsense dependency and an input-button behavior tied to the original launcher. That report is not a tested procedure for an unrelated Hisense Google TV.
What to check on your own device
Before any change, test the current Input key, live TV and phone remote. Preserve the package or service that supplies those features on your model. If the TV says VIDAA or Roku, leave Android commands behind and use the matching platform guide.
A safe next step
Record the full model, firmware, original Home behavior and the functions you want to preserve. Compare only with a source report for the same hardware and software. Ask your coding assistant for an inspection-only plan, exact effects and a verified undo route. If the source does not match, keep the TV unchanged and use its built-in settings.
