Troubleshooting
Chromecast with Google TV shows “Low power” or g.co/cast/power
The “Low power” or g.co/cast/power warning means a supported Google streaming device is not receiving enough power. Use its included adapter and cable in a wall outlet, and remove any intervening USB-C hub or switch.

Use the included adapter and cable
Google says the Low power or g.co/cast/power warning appears when Chromecast with Google TV or Google TV Streamer (4K) lacks enough power. Connect the device to its included power adapter and cable, then plug the adapter into a reliable wall outlet. A TV USB port or substitute adapter may not supply enough power.
Remove any USB-C hub or switch between the streaming device and its adapter.
Google warns these can affect power delivery compatibility.
If that does not help: Connect the device directly to its adapter.
Check both ends of the supplied cable and reseat them.
A loose connection can interrupt power.
If that does not help: Unplug the cable from the device and adapter, wait five seconds, then reconnect adapter-side first and device-side second.
If the original adapter must be replaced, use Google’s documented 5V/1.5A specification.
This is the recommended replacement adapter specification in Google’s troubleshooting.
If that does not help: Use the supplied cable; Google warns another cable may be unsupported and can cause restart loops.
Check which device the warning applies to
Google’s linked troubleshooting names Chromecast with Google TV and Google TV Streamer (4K). Do not apply its specific adapter specification to every Android TV box or built-in Google TV television. For a different model, use its own power requirements and support documentation.
What to do next
Use the included Google streaming-device power supply and cable; the cited low-power steps do not apply to every Android TV.
