Sony BRAVIA/Google TV privacy settings
Sony BRAVIA privacy options vary by operating system and model. Sony documents Samba Interactive TV as an opt-in service on supported sets and provides model-specific paths to disable it; Google TV models also have Google account and app-level choices.

Identify the TV software
Record the full BRAVIA model and the operating system shown in About. Sony’s support page gives different Samba TV paths for Android TV and older non-Android sets. Do not follow an old menu screenshot just because both TVs say BRAVIA.
A Google TV profile also has Google-level recommendation settings, which are separate from Sony’s Samba choice.
Review Samba Interactive TV consent
Sony says Samba Interactive TV recognizes some viewed content when the owner opts in. On supported Android TV models, the setting can appear under System Preferences, Interactive TV Settings or Samba Interactive TV; older models use another path. Read Sony’s current model manual and the on-screen privacy notice before changing it.
Disabling Samba addresses that named service, not the data practices of every installed streaming app.
Check the result and other controls
Record the old setting, save the new value and reopen the menu to verify it. If the TV uses Google TV, review Apps-only mode separately if recommendations are the issue; Google says sponsored content can remain.
Avoid a factory reset solely to change a privacy choice; contact Sony if a documented switch fails to respond.
