Explainers & comparisons
Which Philips TV platform do you have?
Philips TV is a brand, not a single operating system. Older and regional sets may use Android/Google TV, Saphi or Titan OS; TP Vision says its 2026 Philips TV range uses Titan OS. Identify the exact model and software in About before following a pairing or ADB guide.

Find the model and OS
Copy the full model code from the TV label or About screen, then read the software name in settings. Look up that exact code on the manufacturer’s support page when the home screen label is unclear.
Do not infer Android TV from an Ambilight feature or the Philips badge.
Know the current range distinction
TP Vision’s 2026 announcement says the new 2026 Philips range uses Titan OS; its 2025 range also included Titan OS models. Earlier Philips Android/Google TV and Saphi models still exist in homes. Their app stores, remote protocols and customization options are not interchangeable.
An Android ADB or Claude Code cleanup guide applies only if the exact set actually runs compatible Android/Google TV software.
Pick the correct remote path
For Android/Google TV, follow the platform remote-service and pairing flow. For Titan OS or Saphi, use the manufacturer’s documented remote options and app compatibility for that exact model.
Keep the model code in any support request; “Philips TV” is too broad to diagnose pairing.
