LG Mobile TV On and phone wake: what works
LG Mobile TV On or TV On with Mobile can allow a supported webOS TV to wake over the network. LG’s menu path differs by webOS version, so pairing while the set is on and testing wake from standby are separate checks.

Confirm ordinary pairing first
Keep the LG TV on, put the phone on the same local network, complete the TV approval, and test navigation. If the phone cannot control the awake TV, fix discovery and approval before testing power-on.
Record the TV model and webOS version in About; the path for wake settings depends on them.
Find the documented wake option
LG documents Turn on via Wi-Fi under TV On with Mobile for webOS 23, 22, 6.0, 5.0, 4.5 and 4.0, with different menu paths. Its support guide also calls for the TV and controlling device to share a network. Use the path for your software version and record the original value.
Some standby modes or network arrangements may stop the TV from listening; do not assume a software toggle can wake a TV without standby power.
Measure the actual result
Turn off the TV with its normal power control, wait, then test a phone wake. If the TV never wakes, check the maker’s model manual and your network path. If it wakes only immediately after shutdown, note that timing for support.
Restore the original choice if the change does not help, and keep a physical remote as the setup fallback.
