LG webOS ad and privacy settings
LG webOS lets you review required and optional User Agreements. LG says Viewing Information and interest-based advertising agreements are optional for basic smart services; declining required Terms of Use or Privacy Policy can prevent services such as streaming apps from working.

Open the agreements for your webOS model
On standard recent LG models, Settings, Privacy & Terms, User Agreements shows the choices; LG notes the menu can vary by model. Read the TV’s own description and write down the choices you accepted.
If the screen is absent or the labels differ, look up the manual for your exact model and webOS version.
Separate required and optional consent
LG’s 2026 support guidance says its Terms of Use and Privacy Policy are required for smart services, while viewing information, voice and personalized ad agreements are optional. LG describes ACR as optional and enabled through Viewing Information consent where available.
Withdrawing an optional agreement may affect a feature tied to it. It will not necessarily remove every home promotion or change third-party app privacy choices.
Confirm and revisit after updates
Save the choices and reopen User Agreements to confirm them. If a firmware update prompts for renewed consent, read the revised wording before selecting Agree. Test the smart services you rely on after changing a choice.
For a specific ACR or ad question, use LG’s current privacy statement and the TV’s on-screen terms.
